Arakirina ceramic plate

We've received new works by arakirina, a contemporary ceramic artist based in Hasami Town, Nagasaki Prefecture.

With a background as a textile designer, Rina's works possess a painterly presence. Displayed upright, they add depth to any interior space.

They can be enjoyed not only as dishes for food or fruit, but also as ash catchers for incense.

condition: There are three indentations on the rim that may appear like chips; these are formed during manufacturing due to the nature of the clay. If you are considering this as a gift, we kindly ask you to take this into consideration.

A contemporary ceramic artist from Kanagawa Prefecture.
After studying textiles at Tama Art University and working at a textile design firm in Tokyo, she moved to Hasami Town, Nagasaki Prefecture in 2018. After many years as a designer for a ceramics manufacturer, she became independent.
She is committed to expressing texture and pursues the beauty of nature and her unique worldview.
